REGULAR DENTAL CHECKUPS
We encourage all of our patients age four and up to schedule regular dental checkups for several reasons, including:
- To diagnose problems you might not see or feel
- Find early signs of tooth decay
- Treat oral health problems early, while they are still manageable
When you come in for your regularly scheduled dental checkups, your mouth and teeth will receive a thorough cleaning, polishing, and an oral exam. During the oral exam, Dr. Harmon, DMD, will check your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks and tongue to make sure you and your mouth are healthy. In addition, Dr. Harmon will check your existing tooth fillings and dental restorations to ensure they have not worn away, chipped or cracked.
When you come in for your regularly scheduled dental checkups, they will normally last about 45 minutes to an hour. We want to serve as many patients as we can. In order to do that, we work by appointment only. Additionally, we strive to be on-time for each appointment. In order to do that, we need your help. If you will be late or cannot keep an appointment, please notify our office immediately.
